Adding decorative stone to beds
Slide show below

This was a small job of enlarging the bed around the seating area

taking out the lavender from in between  the box hedge and placing the lavender in front,

to make a small lavender hedge,

The box hedge will sit lower down and closer to the seating area to give a nice enclosed feel

while the lavender will sit closer to the lawn which will make for a nice gentle scent as the breeze blows through the lavender

the bed was then finished off by laying weed protection and covered with plum slate.

Adding stone chipping

After extending the bed of plum slate my customer wanted

a gravel area around the bed of plum slate.

So  I removed all the turf and raked out the area to make a nice level grade

as it is on a slight slop,

no hard core was need as the ground was very firm , added weed membrane

then added a nice thick layer of chippings.

A continuation of the Gravelled area to make a walk way at the top of the lawn to the drive

Adding 20mm Golden flint stone

A small job for a customer that wanted the beds around the trees changed,

so I took out old bulbs and Spanish blues bells,

levelled the ground and edged the lawn before putting weed membrane down

then laid the stone and finally put in 3 paving slabs

down the centre between the trees.

Customer was very happy.
